In praise of boring infrastructure

Excitement in infrastructure is usually a euphemism for an outage. We optimize for the opposite: systems that are reproducible, observable, and dull.

Everything is defined as code. Everything emits signals. Nothing depends on a person remembering a manual step at 2am.

Boring is a feature. It is what lets the interesting work happen everywhere else.
